As a classically trained violinist, Galina has worked in bands and ensembles such as ๐๐ก๐ ๐๐ก๐ก๐๐ซ๐ญ ๐๐ง๐ฌ๐๐ฆ๐๐ฅ๐, ๐๐ง๐๐ฅ๐๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐, and in various combinations featuring leading musicians from Cape Town and Johannesburg's leading classical and jazz scenes. Galina composed the music for '๐ด๐๐ ๐๐๐๐: ๐บ๐๐๐๐ ๐ถ๐ ๐ฏ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ซ๐๐๐๐๐๐', a cantata made in collaboration with ๐๐ข๐ณ๐ฎ ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ญ๐ฃ๐ข๐๐ฌ, with a libretto by psychiatrist ๐๐ซ ๐๐๐๐ง ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ง. '๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ฏ๐ฆ๐ด๐ด' debuted at the World Psychiatry International Congress in 2016, and had a two week run at Cape Town's Baxter Theatre in 2017. As a composer, she frequently writes for film, animation and ensemble.
